Sabrina Greig

Sabrina Greig is a Program and Grants Manager at the NBA Foundation. A native New Yorker with Caribbean ancestry, Sabrina has diverse experiences in philanthropy, nonprofit management, and the arts. A hallmark of her professional journey across Chicago and New York has been a strong commitment to racial equity and creating opportunities for inclusion for systemically excluded communities. Prior to joining the NBA Foundation, she navigated her career by meaningfully using the arts and narrative change to transform society for young people. She was a Program Officer at the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation in Chicago, where she assisted in designing and launching the Fry Foundation’s first racial equity response grants focused on racial justice efforts and youth organizing in the summer of 2020. For three years, she annually recommended investments of $1.5 million for a portfolio of organizations working to increase the access of arts education to low-income students of color in the public school system. Sabrina served on the leadership teams for Chicago African Americans in Philanthropy and Chicago Arts Education Collaborative from 2019-2021, and was selected as a 2020 Chicago Women in Philanthropy Emerging Leader. She has also played an integral role at the Chicago Urban League, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Haitian American Museum of Chicago, and, most recently, the Brooklyn Museum. Sabrina received her BA from Carleton College and MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). In her free time, Sabrina spends weekends attending yoga classes and visiting art exhibitions focused on Caribbean artists and Afrofuturism

Genisha Metcalf

Genisha Metcalf is a social impact strategist specializing in corporate social responsibility and designing equity programs. She leverages her cross-sector experience in tech, nonprofit leadership, and higher education to develop philanthropic initiatives to support marginalized communities. Genisha has raised $10M in funding to launch workforce development, digital inclusion, restorative justice, and mental health initiatives. She has trained hundreds of corporate, nonprofit and community leaders in fundraising strategies, community engagement and culturally responsive practices. Most recently, she created equitable access to digital capacity building tools for 260+ Black-led nonprofits as the Program Manager for Meta’s $32M Black Community Nonprofit Fund.

Genisha has held several nonprofit leadership roles throughout her 15 years in social impact. As the Head of Campaigns for DoSomething.org, she led programmatic strategy for the largest tech company exclusively for young people and social change, with a membership of 5M young people in 131 countries. During her tenure, DoSomething distributed $100,000 in scholarship funding, registered 250,000 voters, and launched the Disrupt Racism campaign. As Corporate Partnerships Manger for City Year New York, she generated $1.5M in corporate sponsorship revenue and led volunteer service days for 4,000 volunteers.  Genisha began her career in social work supporting youth aging out of the foster care system. Genisha takes pride in bringing a human rights and social justice perspective to corporate social responsibility.

Richy Pena

Richy (he/his) is a Program and Grants Manager for the NBA Foundation. Richy identifies as a multi-racial person of color, a seasoned philanthropic professional, a social justice and racial equity advocate, and a systems-reform enthusiast. Stemming from his intersectional lived experience as a first-generation and formerly low-income BIPOC individual, Richy is passionate about transforming adversity into fuel to uplift generationally disenfranchised communities. His north star as an emerging leader in the sector is to collectively move society closer to racial, social, economic, disability, gender, LGBTQ+, and indigenous justice.

Richy is a Chicago native who comes to the NBA Foundation with years of experience in philanthropic consulting, grantmaking, project management, organizational change, and policy reform. Previously, Richy worked for organizations such as Arabella Advisors, Civic (Re)Solve, and the Centre for Development Studies and Activities in India. Richy is a proud alumnus of the Cristo Rey Network and is a current member of the Cristo Rey National Alumni Leadership Council. He received his BA in Government from Georgetown University with a minor in Justice and Peace Studies and his MA in Public Policy and Public Administration from Northwestern University. In his free time, Richy loves to watch and play basketball, spend time with family and friends, explore new restaurants and neighborhoods, play videogames and watch movies, and lean into his new role as a cat-Dad to twin kittens.

Alexandria Samuel

Alex Samuel is a communications strategist leading the NBA Foundation’s social and digital strategy. Passionate about the intersection of sports and social impact, she works to bring awareness to the NBA’s commitment to empowering Black youth. Alex manages NBA Foundation’s social media accounts in addition to other digital assets. Her work highlights the Foundation’s grant making initiatives and signature programs like the HBCU Fellowship.

Prior to joining the NBA Foundation, Alex managed Columbia University Women’s Basketball social media accounts and worked in motorsports as a NASCAR Diversity Intern. She is a proud Howard University alumna and also holds a Master’s in Sports Management from Columbia University. In her spare time, Alex serves serves as an ambassador for the Black College Expo. She also enjoys horseback riding and immersing herself in a good book.

Lauren Sills

Lauren Sills is a corporate foundation and social responsibility expert currently serving as the Head of Operations for the NBA Foundation, the League’s first-ever charitable foundation, founded in 2020. A proud alumna of Spelman College, located in Atlanta. Lauren has dedicated her 15-year career to service-oriented professional endeavors related to helping underserved communities have a voice at the table.

At the NBA, Lauren leads day-to-day operations, overseeing the Foundation’s $30 million budget, strategic communications, grantmaking, and signature programs that support Black youth and small business entrepreneurship. Her extensive experience spans various industries, including nonprofits, government entities, financial services, and sports related firms with a consistent focus on supporting and investing in communities of color.

Before joining the NBA, Lauren led philanthropy and community partnerships for the East Coast at Nike Inc. and managed the largest employee volunteer program at the JPMorgan Chase Foundation. Her career began as a high school teacher with Teach for America in Los Angeles, followed by roles in training and organizing young people at Generation Progress, a nonprofit in Washington, D.C., and serving as a Staffer on Capitol Hill with U.S. Senator Tom Carper.

Lauren holds a master’s degree in education from Loyola Marymount University, in Los Angeles. In her spare time, she serves as an advisor for four nonprofit boards with missions ranging from education, sports, and youth.

Pamela Stultz

Pamela serves as the NBA Foundation’s Senior Office Administrator. In this role she provides administrative leadership bringing a wealth of expertise spanning over 30 years in the finance and sports & entertainment industry.

Pamela’s career with the National Basketball Association began in 2006 as assistant to the Chief Financial Officer until 2010, at which time she was appointed to the Administration Executive Office supporting the President of Administration until early 2022.

Prior to joining the National Basketball Association and NBA Foundation, Pamela held senior administrative roles supporting the C-Suite of Citigroup Global Corporate and Investment Bank, Citigroup Private Bank, Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management, KBC Commercial Banking and Apple Bank for Savings.

A native New Yorker who hails from Brooklyn, Pamela has an affinity for the Sonoran Desert where she enjoys spending time as a loyal vacationer in the Troon North community of Scottsdale, Arizona.
